Polka Dot Powerhouse is a community of women from all walks of life. Our members include business owners, professionals, retirees, creatives, public servants, stay-at-home moms, women navigating life transitions, and plenty of women who simply wanted to meet good people and be part of something positive.

What brings us together isn't what we do for a living, instead it's how we show up for one another. We believe in connection over competition, collaboration over comparison, and creating a space where women can feel encouraged, supported, and valued.

While we do not have food available for purchase, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink into the meeting.

Topic: Being Professional Is Costing You Money

Identify one place they are over-editing themselves and how to shift more into alignment without feeling exposed or unprofessional.

About our Speaker: Michelle Killmon is a self-discovery guide, speaker who helps women reconnect with who they already are without fixing or reinventing themselves. After leaving the traditional education system and healing years of nervous system burnout, she now creates spaces where women can slow down, rediscover their inner gifts, and build confidence from the inside out. Through speaking, community experiences, and guided reflection, Michelle supports women in leading with authenticity, clarity, and grounded confidence in both life and business.

What you will walk away with:

Ways to release the guilt- the"just in case" or "I'll wait until I lose weight to dress better"
Learn to identify how you can use clothing to do the "heavy lifting" when life is too much.
Embrace the idea of enclothed cognition (that the clothing a person wears influences their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors) and use it to our advantage!

About our Speaker: Monika is a 1st generation purger with a heart for memories and has helped hundreds of women over the years to edit and organize their closet and create wardrobes that reflect who they are-right here, right now. Because digging through clothes that don’t fit your body or your life sends a subtle message that you don’t deserve to feel beautiful today, and she's calling BS- you deserve to celebrate who you are right now. Whether it’s through color analysis, closet edits, style workshops or personal shopping. she is confident we can get you to a place where you can breathe again…and dare she say find joy in getting dressed! She's a wife of 30 years, a mom of 3, a 22 year educator, a history nerd and a lover of the mountains- just don't ask her to go camping!

SPEAKER APPLICATION PROCESS

Our speakers help educate, inspire, and encourage our members through topics that support personal and professional growth.

Rather than delivering a sales presentation, we ask speakers to focus on sharing valuable insights, experiences, and practical takeaways. When members connect with your message, relationships naturally follow.

Selected speakers receive a 20-minute presentation slot, including audience questions. Applications are reviewed carefully to ensure a variety of topics and perspectives throughout the year. Because our calendar is planned well in advance, submitting an application does not guarantee a speaking opportunity.
